What’s up everyone? Welcome back to another week of Free Agent Auction targets for you folks to gobble up. The free agent pool is starting to dry up quickly as there is only one running back left who I would consider picking up. No, I won’t give any spoilers, you’ll have to read along if you’d like to find out who this mysterious running back is. If you are a first time Dynasty Owner player, I am sure you have noticed how thin the Free Agent Auction in your league has been the last few weeks and it’s only going to continue to get worse.

Before we jump into this week’s article, let’s recap Jay’s Week 7 takeaways. The Browns found a way to win on Thursday against a tough to predict Broncos team, but I can’t help to think Baker would have found a way to lose that game. The most surprising team so far thus season has got to be the Chiefs who got completely steamrolled by the Tennessee Titans and fell to 3-4. The Dolphins have been nothing, but a major let down as well sitting at 1-6. I hope they remain smart and keep Brian Flores around for another year. The Jets look like the worst team in the NFL through seven weeks and it’s not particularly close. After seven full weeks of play, I still have zero idea how to feel about the Panthers and Sam Darnold. Bring back CMC! The Bengals are here to stay and as I tweeted earlier this week, I was dead wrong when I said the Bengals should have taken Penei Sewell over Ja’Marr Chase in this past NFL draft. The Raiders look like a playoff team, and it seems they have put the Gruden drama in the rearview. Jared Goff did what Jared Goff does and almost beat his old team on Sunday. It’s looking like Adam Gase 2.0 in Chicago and I am still not sure how Matt Nagy has kept his job this far into Justin Fields’ career. Can someone please get Nagy away from Fields before he completely ruins him? Finally for this week, we have the San Francisco 49ers who some had as a dark horse Super Bowl contender, but have been nothing but a major disappointment so far this season as their opponent, the Colts, continued to look very tough on the ground. With that we are on to Week 8 folks!

Alright Dynasty Owners, we are back with another week of trying to find a diamond in the rough with the Free Agent Auction targets. The free agent articles/videos will be dropping every Tuesday afternoon in advance of when bids process on Wednesday at 5 AM and will consist of the week’s Top 5 free agent adds. I will do my best to keep the players listed at an ownership percentage of 65% or less and make sure all players have contracts of $8,000,000 or less, with most players coming in at under $4,000,000. One last note, in Dynasty Owner you will be credited each week with 25% of your entire Bench’s score making these weekly free agent pick-ups extremely important to help boost your total weekly score.

On to the top targets for Week 8:

  1. Kendrick Bourne (WR – NE) – 3 years/$5,000,000 – 41.2% Rostered

Kendrick Bourne has quietly put together a great five game stretch and I am guessing his usage is here to stay for the Patriots. In Week 7, Bourne caught 4 balls for 68 yards, and he had a TD to top it off. Let’s not forget the touchdown involved some trickery calling for Bourne to channel his inner Mac Jones and throw for a touchdown. I am assuming the 3-year contract is what is keeping Bourne off most Dynasty Owner rosters, but I think we can start to look past that with the consistent production he has put up over the last five weeks. Kendrick Bourne will likely have some ups and downs moving forward but if you are able to play him on his good weeks, he will pay off nicely and is virtually free to add to your roster.

2. Kalif Raymond (WR – DET) – 1 year/$1,127,500 – 58.0% Rostered

Kalif Raymond is another guy like Kendrick Bourne, meaning he seems to be extremely consistent for a player not a lot of Dynasty Owners want on their roster. In the past five weeks, Raymond has scored double digit Dynasty Owner fantasy points four times just like Kendrick Bourne. Jared Goff has used Raymond as his security blanket for most of this season and it showed on Sunday when Raymond had 6 catches for 115 yards. We all know Jared Goff loves to check down and it seems Raymond is the man to fill that role in Jared Goff’s heart. Plus, the Lions are going to have to throw the ball 45 times a game with as often as they find themselves losing.

3. Dante Pettis (WR – NYG) – 1 year/$920,000 – 11.8% Rostered

If you thought the last two picks were ugly, please stay clear of this area. We are bringing back the original Brandon Aiyuk with Dante Pettis making a case for himself to be included in more than just my waiver wire segment this week as I have seen him in several others. In the past two weeks, Pettis has put together a nice little stretch finishing both games with 5 catches and finding the endzone this past Sunday against the Panthers. The Giants are extremely banged up at the receiver position right now which would usually mean someone like Pettis would head straight back to the Bench but let’s not forget how talented this kid was coming out of college. If Pettis can continue to impress, we can finally see what he is capable of, it just happens to be 10 years after the fact…… not literally it just feels like it.

4. Mike White (QB – NYJ) – 1 year/$850,000 – 0.0% Rostered

If you were watching football on Sunday and heard whoever was announcing the game you were indulging in say that Zach Wilson went down with an injury and Mike White is now the quarterback followed by, “WHO IS MIKE WHITE?” Don’t worry, you weren’t alone. I’ve seen that exact question probably 45 times on Twitter, my son asked me, hell I even asked myself I’m not going to lie. I honestly believe the only reason the Jets have Mike White as their backup and not someone more well-known is because they did not want their young rookie looking over his shoulder, especially with as brutal as the fans are in the Big Apple. As we always say cheap quarterbacks are Dynasty Owner gold, which makes Mike White worth an add.

5. Brandon Bolden (RB – NE) – 1 year/$1,850,000 – 68.6% Rostered

I know, I know. Brandon Bolden is over 65% rostered, but the percentage is too close to leave him off of this list after the game he just had. Bolden went full James White on Sunday finishing the game with 6 catches for 79 yards and a touchdown. Granted it was in a blowout against the Jets, but the Dynasty Owner fantasy points still count. The Patriots have seemed to like Bolden thus far and I see no reason that stops anytime soon with James White still injured. The fact that Bolden is on a very manageable one-year deal he is almost a risk-free addition to your roster. Steve Van Tassell approves of this pick up!

Please do not forget about Steve Van Tassell’s weekly recap article and Friday preview article and video, as well as Matt “The Jerk” Morrison’s Wednesday article and video plus his Thursday Night Football preview article. Don’t forget to check out Dynasty Owner on YouTube!
