What’s up Dynasty Owners? It is time for another edition of Dynasty Owner’s Monday Night Football preview. In this week’s matchup, we will be featuring the New Orleans Saints vs the Seattle Seahawks. Before we jump into tonight’s matchup let’s talk about last week quickly. In last week’s article, I chose Dawson Knox as my Value of the Game, and he was on track to come through for me before getting injured and not being able to return to the game. Ultimately, he ended up on Injured Reserve. In all fairness to myself, the other player I seriously considered as the Value of the Game ended up winning and that player was none other than A.J. Brown. While Brown had a fantastic game (16.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points for $1,413,092) and earned the Value of the Game, he was only able to finish roughly $30,000 per point ahead of the cheaper Dawson Knox (7.5 Dynasty Owner fantasy points for $880,440) for the contest. While I hate getting the Value of the Game wrong, I won’t beat myself up too much over it as injuries can happen at any time in the NFL.

What to Watch For

What am I watching for in tonight’s game you ask? In tonight’s game, I will be looking for two major things and both involve the quarterbacks. Geno Smith will get his second straight primetime start tonight against the Saints. While the Seahawks lost to the Steelers last week, Geno Smith didn’t play a horrible game. If Geno can play turnover-free football and hit some timely passes, the Seahawks may have a shot to come away with a victory. On the other side of the ball, we have the former number 1 overall pick in Jameis Winston. Winston has been up and down the entire season and has yet to really flash any of the crazy upside we all witnessed when he was with Tampa Bay. If Winston can find a way to be a little more explosive without turning the ball over the Saints will be tough to beat as the season goes. If Jameis comes out and lays another egg, it could be a long night for his team. Overall, I am expecting a run heavy game.

Jay’s Dynasty Owner Games of the Week

Each week I will pick two games that are close in score and will likely be decided during Monday Night Football. If you happen to find yourself in this situation on Sunday night, please get ahold of me on Twitter (@jaypoundsnfl) and I will gladly feature your game here.

Game 1 – League #27446

Horny Toads – Tyler Lockett in Starting lineup left to play

Horny Toads are making their second appearance in Jay’s Dynasty Owner Games of the Week. Horny Toads heads into tonight’s matchup down 6.98 points with Tyler Lockett left to play. If the Horny Toads wind up losing this game, they will solely be able to blame the late scratch of DeVante Parker for their loss. No worries Horny Toads, Parker cost me a win this week as well. At the end of the day, I just feel the zero from Parker will be too much to overcome.

Doobey’s Misfits – Jason Myers in Starting lineup left to play

I am sure Doobey’s Misfits was feeling just as excited as my opponent this week when they watched 1pm Eastern hit while Parker was still active in my lineup. Doobey’s Misfits head into tonight with a slight lead and I feel they also have a nice advantage of Geno Smith throwing Tyler Lockett passes instead of Russell Wilson. I am also expecting the Seahawks will have to settle for field goals much more frequently with Russ out. All of this means good news for the Misfits.

Game 2 – League #36362

COOPS TROOPS – No one in Starting lineup or on Bench left to play

While I am not expecting COOPS TROOPS to win, I can almost guarantee you they were not planning on winning this week either as they had Andy Dalton as their starting quarterback because of bye weeks. If COOPS TROOPS somehow end up pulling out a victory, it should go down in history as a David vs. Goliath type win.

Midgey Menace – Alvin Kamara in Starting lineup left to play

As I mentioned above, Midgey Menace had to see this matchup as an easy victory for their team and it has been nothing but the opposite. Heading into tonight’s game, Midgey Menace needs 23.27 points out of Alvin Kamara. I’m not sure they are feeling 100% confident, but I am here to tell you not to worry Midgey, Alvin Kamara and the fantasy gods will get it done.

Value of the Game

I am hoping I am not starting a trend of jinxing the players I select as the Value of the Game but nonetheless let’s give it a go. In this week’s edition, I am going to take Marquez Callaway as my Value of the Game. Callaway is a physical specimen who can make a big play at any given time, and I am expecting him to break loose a time or two in tonight’s game. Get your popcorn ready folks! It’s time to see if Callaway is for real!
