Week 6 Recap: Who’s Clutch?

This content has been archived. It may no longer be relevant

By Steven Van Tassell (@SteveVT33)

It was quite a week for clutch scoring in the NFL and Dynasty Owner. In total, there were eight clutch scoring events as defined by the Dynasty Owner Constitution (https://app.dynastyowner.com/how-to-play then click on DO Constitution and scroll to the bottom of Page 8). Nine players received the 3.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy point clutch scoring bonus, while Pittsburgh kicker Chris Boswell got the bonus twice and scored an extra 6.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points for those Dynasty Owners (43.2%) who have him on their roster. Boswell kicked a 52-yard FG with 1:30 left in regulation to break a 17-17 tie in the Steelers-Seahawks game and later won the game in overtime with a 37 yard FG. There were three clutch scoring events in that game alone as Jason Myers kicked a 43-yard FG with no time on the clock to send the game into overtime.

That wasn’t the only NFL game with clutch scoring events. The Dallas Cowboys also had two clutch scoring events in their 35-29 victory over the New England Patriots. First, there was Cowboys’ kicker Greg Zuerlein who made a 49-yard FG with 20 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime and then in overtime, there was the Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb 35-yard TD pass that ended the game. The Carolina-Minnesota game also featured two clutch scoring events that garnered the clutch scoring bonus for four different players. In regulation, Sam Darnold threw a 7-yard TD pass to Robby Anderson with 42 seconds left to bring the Panthers to within two points of the Vikings (28-26). The subsequent successful two-point conversion (Sam Darnold pass to Tommy Tremble) tied the score and was the clutch scoring event. The overtime TD pass by Vikings QB Kirk Cousins to WR K.J. Osborn was the other clutch score in the Vikings 34-28 victory. Finally, over in London, Jacksonville kicker Matthew Wright kicked a 53-yard FG at the end of regulation to give the Jaguars their first victory since Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Overall plenty of Dynasty Owners got those clutch scoring bonuses and there was at least one game decided by the clutch scoring bonus. In League #27451, Somerset KAos defeated Han and the Solos by a score of 169.88 to 169.73. It was so incredibly close and an extra two yards rushing or receiving by any player in the Starting lineup for Han and the Solos would have given them the victory. Somerset KAos didn’t know it on Sunday night, but the late fourth quarter FG by Greg Zuerlein was the margin of victory for their team because of the 3.0 point clutch scoring bonus. Without the bonus, Somerset KAos would have lost. That FG and the clutch scoring bonus could end up being a big deal in how both teams finish in their league.

Did clutch scoring make or break your Dynasty Owner matchup this week? Let me know by sending me a message on Twitter (@SteveVT33). If you won your Dynasty Owner game because of a clutch scoring event, I’ll celebrate by letting everyone know. If you lost because of the clutch scoring bonus, I’ll post but add a sad emoji face (or two) when I tweet it out.

All stats cited are based on the Standard Dynasty Owner scoring system as outlined in the updated Dynasty Owner Constitution. Standard Dynasty Owner scoring gives you .1 points for every yard rushing or receiving, .1 point for every 2 yards passing, 1 point per reception, 6 points for a rushing, receiving or passing touchdown and 2 points for a successful 2-point conversion (rushing, receiving, or passing). Interceptions or fumbles lost cost you 3 points, while a fumble that is recovered by the player’s team is a loss of only 1 point. Bonus points are available for 100-199 yards rushing (2 points), 200 yards rushing or receiving (6 points), 300-399 yards passing (1 point) and 400 yards passing (4 points). There is also a 3 point bonus for clutch scoring, which is a score that results in a lead change in the final two minutes of the 4th quarter or overtime. Kickoff and punt return touchdowns are worth 6 points for the player and kickoff and punt returns are worth 1 point for every 40 yards.

Standard Dynasty Owner scoring for kickers gives you 1 point for every extra point, while a missed extra point will cost you 1 point. It’s 2 points for a field goal of between 0 and 39 yards, 4 points for a field goal between 40 and 49 yards and 5 points for a field goal of 50 yards or longer. A missed field goal of between 0 and 39 yards will cost you 3 points, while a miss of 40 yards or more is a loss of 2 points.

For the purposes of this article, ADP and Dynasty Owner rostered percentage statistics were current as of the morning of October 19th.

Dynasty Owner Player of the Week

Our sixth Dynasty Owner Player of the Week for 2021 is a player who got a clutch scoring bonus for an overtime TD pass: Dak Prescott

Dak was the first winner of the Player of the Week honor back in Week 1 of the 2019 season. He also won this award once in 2020 as well as a Value Player of the Week award in 2019 when his salary was only $680,848. This week, his 42.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy point performance (445 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 10 rushing yards, 1 INT, 1 fumble – lost) including both the 4.0 point bonus for over 400 passing yards and the 3.0 point clutch scoring bonus for his 35-yard TD pass to CeeDee Lamb in overtime. The 42.2 points is the lowest for a Player of the Week award winner this season, but not the lowest in Dynasty Owner history as Aaron Rodgers won the award in Week 13 of the 2019 season with 38.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Prescott’s cost per point this week was second highest in Dynasty Owner history, behind Patrick Mahomes in Week 1 ($1,032,110 per point). If Dynasty Owner didn’t have the clutch scoring bonus, Prescott would still have been Player of the Week with 39.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points, but he would have had a cost per point amount exceeding $1 million.

Week 6 Points: 42.2

2021 Salary: $40,000,000

Cost per Point: $947,867

Congratulations Dak on winning your third overall Dynasty Owner Player of the Week honor and joining Patrick Mahomes as the only players to have won the award in each of the past three years.

Honorable mention to Kirk Cousins who just missed out on winning his first Player of the Week honor. Cousins has been playing well in 2021 and averaging 28.15 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game with four games of more than 30.0 points. He is rostered in 7.7% of Dynasty Owner leagues, which is probably the highest percentage in Dynasty Owner history for him. That may go higher after he threw a 27-yard TD pass in overtime to K.J. Osborn and scored 41.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (373 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 16 rushing yards, 1 fumble) in Week 6. The Vikings are on bye in Week 7 so that might stop some Dynasty Owners from picking up Cousins from the Free Agent Auction right away. The clutch scoring bonus that Cousins received for the overtime TD pass moved him ahead of several players in Week 6 scoring and he was on his way to winning until Prescott’s heroics in the Cowboys’ late Sunday afternoon game.

Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week

Because this is Dynasty Owner and we’re all looking for value from the players on our roster, we also have the Value Player of the Week. The sixth Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week for the 2021 season is: Donovan Peoples-Jones

With Nick Chubb out and Kareem Hunt injured, it was left to Donovan Peoples-Jones to try and salvage the Browns game against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals with the best performance of his short career. He scored 2 TDs, but unfortunately those were the only two that the Browns scored in their 37-14 loss in Week 6. Peoples-Jones had a career high 26.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (4 receptions, 101 receiving yards, 2 receiving TDs) with the first NFL 100 yard receiving and 2 TD game. Because he was a sixth round draft pick in 2020, his salary is only $870,402 per year and the better news for his Dynasty Owners is that he will stay at that salary for two more seasons. That’s why he is rostered in 95.9% of Dynasty Owner leagues and didn’t appear in the Free Agent Auction targets article. Hopefully he was in your Starting lineup this week, or at least on your Bench, if you have him on your Dynasty Owner team.

Week 6 Points: 26.1

2021 Salary: $870,402

Cost per Point: $33,349

Congratulations Donovan on winning the first Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week honor of your career. It is also the first time that a Cleveland Browns player has been the Value Player of the Week in Dynasty Owner history.

Players Who Should Have Been Starters This Week

Next, we look at those players who should have been one of your Starters based on their performance in Week 6. We aren’t going to write that you should have started Derrick Henry or Cooper Kupp because both of them are the clear #1 player at their positions so far this year. The way that both of them have been playing means you aren’t taking either one out of your Starting lineup unless they are suddenly inactive or on their bye week. Instead, these are players who might normally be on your Bench or Practice Squad (or even not on many Dynasty Owner rosters), but likely weren’t Starters in Week 6 when they should have been.

QB: Joe Burrow (CIN) – 30.5 points

While he was drafted like a week in and week out starter as the seventh QB taken with an ADP of 38.9 in 2021 start-up drafts (as well as having an ADP of 42.5 in 2020 start-up drafts), Joe Burrow hasn’t lived up to his lofty draft position so far in 2021. He was the QB16 entering Week 6 and averaging 23.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game. He wasn’t the best QB in Week 6, but would have been a solid QB to have in your Starting lineup since he had 30.5 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (271 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 20 rushing yards, 1 INT). That was good enough to be QB6 for Week 6 and more points in Week 6 than the top three QBs in Dynasty Owner scoring through the first five weeks (Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson). He’s up to QB13 for the season now, but has a tough matchup in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. Hopefully his Dynasty Owners saw the matchup versus Detroit in Week 6 as a good opportunity for Burrow to put up some points and had him in their Starting lineup.

RB: Kenyan Drake (LV) – 21.3 points

Kenyan Drake had 10 rushing TDs in 2020 when he was on the Arizona Cardinals, but through the first five weeks of the 2021 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, he had yet to find the end zone. Because of that scoring drought, Drake was only averaging just over 7.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game. The past three games had been even worse as he only scored a combined 12.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in those games (4.2 points per game). It was so bad in the past two games that he had twice as many points from return yards (103 return yards worth 2.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) than rushing or receiving (13 rushing yards and zero receptions worth 1.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points). Even with four teams on bye this week, it wasn’t likely that a lot of Dynasty Owners with Drake on their rosters expected a victory if they used him in their Starting lineups. Drake wasn’t used much in Week 6, but he made good use out of his six touches with 21.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (34 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 2 receptions, 39 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD). Hopefully you needed to have him in your Starting lineup and reaped the rewards.

WR: K.J. Osborn (MIN) – 22.8 points

After three poor weeks with a combined 15.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (8 receptions, 66 receiving yards, 10 rushing yards), K.J. Osborn is back to performing like he did in the first two weeks of the 2021 season. He put together his best week of the season with the help of the clutch scoring bonus from the 27-yard receiving TD in overtime. The bonus gave him a total of 22.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (6 receptions, 78 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD). Without those clutch scoring bonus points, he would have been eclipsed by Cole Beasley of the Buffalo Bills who had 21.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (7 receptions, 88 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD) on Monday night. While Osborn hadn’t done well since Week 2, he should have been in your Starting lineup in Week 6 as his 22.8 points were the most he has scored in a single game in his career.

TE: O.J. Howard (TB) – 16.9 points

It’s been a banner year for $6 million TEs. For the third week in a row, a TE who makes over $6 million per season is in this spot. No Ohio connection, but the $6 million salary streak lives on after O.J. Howard’s 16.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy point performance (6 receptions, 49 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD) on Thursday night against Philadelphia. It was Howard’s best game, in terms of fantasy points, since 2018 as he had never scored more points for a Dynasty Owner than he did this week. So, who is it going to be next week? Dynasty Owners with Gerald Everett (1 year/$6 million), Kyle Rudolph (2 years/$6 million per year) or Evan Engram (1 year/$6.013 million) might want to put them in their Starting lineups in Week 7 and hope it’s their guy appearing here next week. Dynasty Owners with Eric Ebron (1 year/$6 million) will have to wait until Week 8 since Ebron and the Steelers are on bye in Week 7. For Week 6, it was O.J. Howard’s turn and hopefully his Dynasty Owners spotted the trend and had him in their Starting lineup.

K: Matthew Wright (JAC) – 19.0 points

Last week, I wrote this about Matthew Wright.

“Hopefully none of the few Dynasty Owners with Wright on their roster had him in their Starting lineup, or will have any Jacksonville kicker there until one of them can make a FG.”

All it took was a trip to London for this to happen as Wright made a 40-yard FG in the first quarter. He made another one (54 yards) with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter and then he followed up with his third FG of the game, a 53-yarder with no time remaining on the clock. The final one was the game winner and as a clutch scoring event, it was worth an extra 3.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. The clutch scoring bonus gave Wright a total of 19.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (FGs of 40, 53 and 54 yards plus 2 PATs) in Week 6. If you are one of the few (7.1%) and now proud Dynasty Owners with Matthew Wright on your roster, I hope you figured out that this was the week a Jacksonville kicker was going to finally make a FG and had Wright in your Starting lineup.

Players Who Should Have Been on the Bench or Practice Squad

For every player who should have been in your Starting lineup but wasn’t, we have at least one highly drafted or highly ranked player who probably was in your Starting lineup, but would have been better left on your Bench or Practice Squad. Here are some likely Starters who definitely didn’t have any clutch scoring events and in fact scored only a few Dynasty Owner fantasy points this week. They should have spent Week 6 riding your Dynasty Owner Bench or hanging out on the Practice Squad with the guys who were on bye.

QB: Lamar Jackson (BAL) – 13.4 points

Last week, Lamar Jackson won the Dynasty Owner Player of the Week award and scored more Dynasty Owner fantasy points in a single game than he had in his entire career. This week, Lamar Jackson scored fewer points than he had in a game since back in Week 5 of the 2019 season as he only had 13.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (167 passing yards, 1 passing TD, 51 rushing yards, 2 INTs). It only mattered to the Dynasty Owners with Lamar in their Starting lineup as the Baltimore Ravens easily defeated the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 34-6 behind rushing TDs from a trio of RBs who weren’t even on the Baltimore roster until after training camp finished up. While 13.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points isn’t great, it was better than five other NFL starting QBs this week (Jared Goff, Taylor Heinicke, Daniel Jones, Davis Mills and Geno Smith). However, none of those guys should realistically been in your Starting lineup. Jackson was likely in most of his Dynasty Owners’ Starting lineup, but would have been better on the Bench.

Dishonorable mention to Justin Herbert who also had a tremendous Week 5 performance of 55.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points, only to fall back to earth and score a mere 13.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (195 passing TDs, 1 passing TD, 12 rushing yards, 1 INT) in Week 6. It wasn’t a great week to have a QB who played amazing in Week 5 as the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady, who tied Herbert with 55.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 5, was also mediocre in Week 6 with just 23.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. This would have been a good week to put Herbert on your Dynasty Owner Bench.

RB: Jamaal Williams (DET) – 1.9 points

For each of the first five weeks of the 2020 season, Jamaal Williams had received 10 or more touches per game. The results had fluctuated from a high of 25.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 1 to a low of 6.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 4. However, because the volume has been there, Dynasty Owners probably didn’t think twice about having him on in their Starting lineup for the Lions’ Week 6 game against Cincinnati. After all, he was a Top 24 RB and getting 10 or more touches per game, even as the backup to D’Andre Swift. The volume wasn’t there for Williams in Week 6, and neither were the fantasy points as he only touched the ball five times and scored a mere 1.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (11 rushing yards, 1 reception, -2 receiving yards). It was his worst performance since scoring only 1.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy point back in Week 4 of the 2019 season. Hopefully if you have Williams on your Dynasty Owner roster, you had him on the Bench or your Practice Squad.

Dishonorable mention to Myles Gaskin of the Miami Dolphins. You might remember him from last week when he won the Value Player of the Week award. That seems like a long time ago for his Dynasty Owners. Those who had Gaskin in their lineup last week were probably very excited about the prospect of him playing against Jacksonville in Week 6 and possibly putting up more than the 14.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points he was projected to score. Those Dynasty Owners who missed his Week 5 outburst likely had put him in their Starting lineup this week to make amends for that poor decision. All of them are probably wondering what happened to make Gaskin go from 15 touches, 99 yards and 2 TDs (31.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) against Tampa Bay to only 7 touches, 14 yards and a fumble against Jacksonville. Gaskin only had 2.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (9 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 5 receiving yards, 1 fumble) this week and should have been on your Bench or Practice Squad this week despite easily being ranked in the Top 24 RBs after the first five weeks of the 2021 season.

WR: Chase Claypool (PIT) – 3.7 points

Chase Claypool was averaging 15.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game through the first five weeks of the season. He missed the Steelers’ Week 4 game against Green Bay, so he had only played in four of those games, but whenever he suited up, he had played well. His Dynasty Owners may be wishing that he missed Week 6, so they wouldn’t have had him in their Starting lineups and expecting similar production to what he had delivered so far this season. Instead, they got his worst performance of the season, scoring only 3.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (2 receptions for 17 receiving yards). It was 6.0 points less than his previous worst game of the season (9.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 2 versus Las Vegas). Claypool should have been on your Dynasty Owner Bench in Week 6 as there were plenty of WRs who scored more points than he did.

TE: David Njoku (CLE) – 1.6 points

The state of the TE position is so bad in fantasy football that Rob Gronkowski is still the TE11 in Dynasty Owner despite not playing the past three weeks. Kyle Pitts was on bye in Week 6, yet is still the TE10 in overall points. That is why David Njoku can go from being someone who is listed as in the Players Who Should Have Been Starters This Week section one week, then here the following week. There are only a few guaranteed week in and week out Starting TEs in Dynasty Owner (Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, and Kyle Pitts). Both Dalton Schultz and Dawson Knox are getting there as well based on their play this season. If you don’t have one of those TEs, then it’s not a bad idea to start someone who had a great week the week before and see if he can replicate it. In Week 6, that was Njoku as he slipped into the Starting TE conversation after his Week 5 performance left him as the TE13 for the season. With Pitts on bye plus Gronkowski and Dallas Goedert not playing in Week 6, Njoku was definitely someone who Dynasty Owners should have had on their Starting TE radar. If that was the case for your Dynasty Owner team, I’m sorry that Njoku only had 1.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (1 reception for 6 yards) and should have been on your Bench or Practice Squad.

K: Greg Joseph (MIN) – 3.0 points

With an average of 9.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game, Greg Joseph was the #2 ranked kicker in Dynasty Owner heading into Week 6. That’s true, I actually went back and did the math. Part of the reason for his high ranking was that he had gotten the clutch scoring bonus in two out of the first five weeks of the season, adding 6.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points to his total points. He’s fallen down to #6 kicker after only scoring 3.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 6 (made FGs of 25, 25 and 38 yards plus one PAT and missed FGs of 47 and 50 yards). Not only did he score just 3.0 points, but he missed out on a chance for his third clutch scoring bonus of the season as the 47-yard FG was at the end of regulation and would have won the game for the Vikings. That’s a swing of 9.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points as Joseph would have gotten points for making the 47-yard FG (4.0 points), having it be a clutch scoring event (3.0 points) and gotten back the points he lost for missing the FG (2.0 points). He’d still be the #2 kicker in Dynasty Owner with 60.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points, behind only Justin Tucker who has 62.0 points, and most importantly, not made the list as being the kicker who should have been on your Dynasty Owner Bench this week.

Dynasty Owner Match-up of the Week Recap – The Dropkick Joey Browners vs. LvMeSmMe

As predicted, this was a close, high-scoring game. The projections in the Week 6 preview article had The Dropkick Joey Browners winning by 8.78 points and the final score margin of victory was 7.55 points. Both teams scored around 10.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points more than projected. All in all, that’s a pretty spot on projection!

The Dropkick Joey Browners had solid performances from almost all of their Starters with just D.J. Moore failing to score double-digit Dynasty Owner fantasy points. He fell short by only 0.1 points and would have gone over if not for the lost fumble that cost his Dynasty Owners three points. The Cardinals QB-WR stack of Kyler Murray (32.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) and D’Andre Hopkins (20.5 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) produced a bit more than projected as did the rest of their Starting lineup of D’Andre Swift, James Robinson, Tyreek Hill, Mark Andrews and Justin Tucker.

As predicted, it was the Bench scoring that gave The Dropkick Joey Browners their margin of victory as their Bench outscored LvMeSmMe’s Bench by 25.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points, which adds 6.25 points to their total score since Bench scoring added 25% to your point total. That’s pretty close to the projections of a 26.3 advantage for The Dropkick Joey Browners’ Bench. Joe Burrow (30.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points), A.J. Green (18.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points), and Free Agent Auction pickup Ricky Seals-Jones (15.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) led the Bench scoring for The Dropkick Joey Browners.

Injuries played a part in LvMeSmMe’s loss as Preston Williams was a late scratch for the Dolphins and was in their FLEX spot. Both of their Bench WRs did play, and both scored a Blutarsky (0.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points), so a Sunday morning swap from Williams to fellow Dolphins WR Travis Fulgham wouldn’t have mattered. Their other Bench WR was Greg Ward of the Eagles who got his Blutarsky on Thursday night. LvMeSmMe got great games from Josh Allen and Derrick Henry on Monday night as they combined for 75.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. However, LvMeSmMe was just too far behind at that point.

The victory puts The Dropkick Joey Browners at 6-0 with a one-game lead in the League #27464 standings over LvMeSmMe. There are two other 5-1 teams in the league as well. The Dropkick Joey Browners are now in 22nd place in the Chase for the Ring standings, while LvMeSmMe is just outside of the Top 25 in 35th place and only 18.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points away from appearing on the Chase for the Ring leaderboard.

Chase for the Ring Leaderboard

The Dropkick Joey Browners had a very good week to pull into the Top 25, but didn’t have enough to make it into the Top 10. The Top 10 was tough to crack as nine out of the teams in the Top 10 held on to their spots.

The only newcomer to the Top 10 are The Bootheel’s Best and they were in 14th place a week ago. Every other team was here last week as only Rimmerworld Smegheads dropped out, going from ninth place to barely outside of the Top 25 (28th place).

The Road Warriors are back on top, but only 2.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points ahead of Heeb Unit. Heeb Unit was the only Top 10 team to score over 200.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points this week as they moved up from fourth place. The Road Warriors had been in second place last week. SKOL Vikings still has two teams in the Top 10, but both lost a tiny bit of ground this week going from first and sixth places to third and seventh places.

Conclusions

Clutch scoring is one of the many things that makes Dynasty Owner different than a “regular” fantasy football league, or even your run of the mill dynasty league. It rewards players (and Dynasty Owners) for extraordinary efforts that help their NFL team win (or at least give their team the chance to win). Garbage time yards and TDs when your NFL team is winning or losing by a lot are great and should count as much as yards and TDs at any point of the game, but the addition of a bonus for clutch scoring is something innovative and unique to Dynasty Owner.

Hopefully your Dynasty Owner team got some of the clutch scoring bonus points that were plentiful this week. Even if they didn’t, hopefully your opponent didn’t get them and squeak out a close victory because they did. If the latter happened, then you might have words that aren’t “innovative” or “different” to describe the clutch scoring bonus.

There should be more clutch scoring bonuses in Week 7, even with six teams on bye. In fact, getting a clutch scoring bonus could be even more important as Dynasty Owner game scores should be lower without players from the Bills, Chargers, Cowboys, Jaguars, Steelers and Vikings contributing any points.

There’s plenty of great Dynasty Owner content coming out this week to check out. The Free Agent Auction targets article and video by Jay Pounds was published on Tuesday. Hopefully you read it and watched the video to help you decide who to bid on and then won those bids. The final article and video in the Incredibly True Stats by position series from Matt Morrison – The Jerk will feature TEs and be out later in the day on Wednesday. Matt will be back with his Thursday Night Football preview on Thursday afternoon to set the tone for Week 7. Finally on Friday, I’m back with an article and video that will preview the rest of the Week 7 slate of games. I’ll also have another exciting Dynasty Owner Match-up of the Week and see how my Week 6 recommendations fared.

Please read all of our articles, watch our videos on YouTube or listen to them wherever you get your podcasts. Don’t forget follow all three of us plus Dynasty Owner on Twitter as well. Thanks, and have a great day!
