Dynasty Owners! Welcome back to another fantastic night of football as Steve Van Tassell’s New England Patriots take on their AFC East division rival, the Buffalo Bills. As always before we jump into tonight’s game, let’s review the Value of the Game from last week’s match-up. Before I let you know who won (not me), I will say I feel I am starting to curse these players when I pick them as nearly every single one has struggled horribly after I call their name. Do I have some type of witchcraft ability or is this all one big coincidence? You guys can think what you’d like, but I am going with the witchcraft theory, and I am sticking to it! All conspiracy theories aside, I chose poor DK Metcalf as my Value of the Game in last week’s match-up and as always, my choice did absolutely nothing. DK Metcalf finished last week’s match-up with an absurd stat line of 1 catch for 13 yards for a grand total of 2.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Here soon I am going to start charging players to not pick them as my Value of the Game and it should make for a great little side hustle. Alright Dynasty Owners, enough joking let’s talk about the player who earned their name being mentioned last week, Antonio Gibson. Gibson was the true Value of the Game and had 22.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in last week’s match-up which averages out to be just over $55,000 per point with his $1,233,159 salary.
What to Watch For
In what very well may be the Monday Night Football matchup of the season, there are more than a couple things I will be watching for but let’s touch on the important ones. The first and most important thing I will be watching for has nothing to do with fantasy and everything to do with football as the winner of this game takes control of the AFC East and their destiny moving forward. After just one short rebuilding year, The Hoodie is back, and the rest of the league has taken notice. Belichick knows how to take things away from teams and I am expecting more of the same in tonight’s game and do not see the Bills having much of a running game at all in this contest. Look for the Patriots to keep the Bills offense off the field as they play fundamentally sound defense each week. The last thing I’d like to touch on with the Patriots is how amazing Belichick is when he has an accurate QB who doesn’t make many mistakes. On the Bills side of the ball, I will be watching the offense extremely close as they have not played up to their potential thus far this season. If the Bills are going to win this game, it is imperative that Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs get going in a big way. If Allen or Diggs come out and struggle tonight, the division will have a very familiar face at the top when all is said and done, and that face is none other than Bill Belichick!

Jay’s Dynasty Owner Games of the Week

Game 1 – League #30539
Burrows before hoes – Kendrick Bourne on Bench left to play
Before we jump straight into the matchup, I must say Burrows before hoes is a great fantasy football name! Burrows before hoes, nor his opponent can be feeling all that comfortable heading into tonight’s game with such a close projected total. If Burrows before hoes is looking to up their score significantly, they will have to hope for their Bench player Kendrick Bourne to go absolutely nuts as he will only contribute 25% of his actual total. If we are being honest, Burrows before hoes will have to hope for a down game from one of their opponent’s Starter, Tyler Bass or Stefon Diggs, if they are hoping to pull out the win.
Kensington Krush – Stefon Diggs and Tyler Bass in Starting lineup left to play
If I am being completely honest, I would rather have Burrows before hoes name but that is about it in this situation. I would much rather count on two Starters vs one remaining player on my Bench, though that can be a highly debatable statement. In Kensington Crush’s case I would feel confident heading into tonight’s game as the Bills will likely have to get Stefon Diggs involved heavily to win or mount any type of comeback if they fall behind. I am expecting a lower scoring game tonight, but that does not mean a player like Stefon Diggs can’t have a 25 Dynasty Owner fantasy point night. All in all, I feel Kensington Krush pulls out a victory by a few points.
Game 2 – League #55318
Titanup – Josh Allen in Starting lineup left to play
When checking into this matchup, I noticed Titanup is benefiting from a lack of depth with his 11-1 opponent struggling to field a full Bench because of injuries. Yet even that may not be enough to them to win. Titanup is counting on Josh Allen at least hitting his projected point total to have a good shot at winning and unfortunately for them, I do not see that happening against The Hoodie’s vaunted defense. If Titanup fails to secure a victory, they will be able to blame the loss on Darnell Mooney and Pat Freiermuth scoring 15.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points combined this week.
Juan Blanco – Stefon Diggs and Tyler Bass in Starting lineup left to play
Up next in this matchup we have one of my very own league mates, Juan Blanco. Juan Blanco has been a fun addition to one of my leagues and I am secretly pulling for him in this matchup. So much for a secret! Juan Blanco heads into Monday night down in terms of projected point totals, but as we all know projections rarely work out in the world of fantasy football. I see the Bills failing to move the ball on the ground against this defense meaning a bunch of targets for Juan Blanco’s player, Stefon Diggs. If things play out the way I expect, Juan Blanco will escape this match-up with a victory and move to 12-1.
Value of the Game
In tonight’s matchup, I am going to place my newfound witchcraft curse on poor Jakobi Meyers. Jakobi, if you ever come across this for some reason, I am sorry for the poor performance I caused you! All jokes aside, Jakobi Meyers has had a fantastic season this far for where he was drafted and that has been paired with an extremely cheap salary south of $600k, making Meyers a certified Dynasty Owner darling. As I am sure most of you know Meyers is not exactly a huge red zone target with only one touchdown throughout his short career, but that has not stopped him from becoming a solid Dynasty Owner option due to the number of targets he sees in his offense. In all honesty, it will not take much for Meyers to win this award and the only real threat he has is the Bills’ TE Dawson Knox. If Dawson Knox expects to pry this award away from Jakobi Meyers, he will likely need to find the end zone and have a solid day in terms of receptions and yardage. Even after all of that, Meyers will have to look like DK Metcalf last week to lose.
