Welcome Dynasty Owners to another week of the Free Agent Auction targets article. I want to apologize as the Dynasty Owner site has been experiencing problems and undergoing maintenance. I was not sure if I would be able to get this article out, so I will have to skip over Jay’s weekly recap due to time constraints. I also want to encourage everyone to do some of their own free agent digging this week as I may have overlooked a low owned player. I will say Week 6 was wild and that I was happy to see my Steelers get back to .500. With that said, let’s check out this week’s free agent targets.

Alright Dynasty Owners, we are back with another week of trying to find a diamond in the rough with the Free Agent Auction targets. The free agent articles/videos will be dropping every Tuesday afternoon in advance of when bids process on Wednesday at 5 AM and will consist of the week’s Top 5 free agent adds. I will do my best to keep the players listed at an ownership percentage of 65% or less and make sure all players have contracts of $8,000,000 or less, with most players coming in at under $4,000,000. One last note, in Dynasty Owner you will be credited each week with 25% of your entire Bench’s score making these weekly free agent pick-ups extremely important to help boost your total weekly score.

On to the top targets for Week 7:

  1. D’Ernest Johnson (RB – CLE) – 1 year/$585,000 – 33.1% Rostered

Outside of losing the game, the Browns got some of the worst news possible with one of their star running backs (Kareem Hunt) going down with a significant injury. Unfortunately, in the NFL injuries are part of the game and the next man up scenario is a real thing. I am expecting D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton (89.9% rostered) to split carries evenly since Chubb will not play in Thursday’s game. If Johnson shows out with his opportunity, he could be in line to spell Chubb while Hunt is out.

2. Kendrick Bourne (WR – NE) – 3 years/$5,000,000 – 36.1% Rostered

If you are not named Steve Van Tassell, or a different Patriots fan, you may not be aware just how good Bourne has been this season, especially recently. In the past four weeks, Bourne has scored double digit Dynasty Owner fantasy points three times. It seems Bourne has found his place in the Patriots’ offense and while he may not be a consistent player every week, he will get you solid production for a Bench player most weeks. The only real downside with Bourne is his contract and the fact you will have to hold onto him for three years or pay the price of cutting him.

3. O.J. Howard (TE – TB) – 1 year/$6,013,000 – 30.8% Rostered

Most everyone has no idea how long I have been waiting to put O.J. Howard on a list like this. I have been a huge Howard truther since he come out of Alabama and feel Tampa has never quite used him correctly. I am not sure this 6 catch, 49 yard, 1 touchdown (14.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy point) performance is here to stay or if it was simply a fluke. Either way, I am excited. If Howard is gaining Brady’s trust, he could be a surprise in the second half of the season.

4. Ross Dwelley (TE – SF) – 1 year/$1,600,000 – 26.0% Rostered

While I am not all that excited about the last two guys on this list, they are certainly candidates to play on your Bench throughout Bye Week season. Dwelley has not done much since taking over for George Kittle, but in his defense Kittle had not done much either before his injury. If Dwelley can get on the same page as whoever is chucking the rock, he could be a sneaky Bench play.

5. Kalif Raymond (WR – DET) – 1 year/$1,127,500 – 49.1% Rostered

Just as Kendrick Bourne has, Kalif Raymond has quietly put-up double-digit points in three of his last four games with one 0.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy point dud in between. Raymond seems to be trusted by his quarterback Jared Goff as he has caught six passes in a game twice already this season. The main worry I have with Raymond is the fact that Tyrell Williams will be back at some point, and Raymond’s production could take a massive hit because of it.

Please do not forget about Steve Van Tassell’s weekly recap article and Friday preview article and video, as well as Matt “The Jerk” Morrison’s Wednesday article and video plus his Thursday Night Football preview article. Don’t forget to check out Dynasty Owner on YouTube!
