Bills vs Titans

By: Jay Pounds (@jaypoundsnfl)

What’s up Dynasty Owners? It is time for another edition of Dynasty Owner’s Monday Night Football preview. In this week’s matchup, we will be featuring the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. In last week’s article, I covered the Colts vs Ravens matchup and man was it a spectacular game which ended in overtime. We saw the Ravens comeback just as I have over the past two weeks in getting the Value of the Game correct after missing on a few to start the season. Mark Andrews was the player I picked as my Value of the Game, and it certainly paid off as he produced in a big way with 11 catches for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus 2 2-pt conversions (41.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points), in a huge bounce back game. While I was right in my pick for Value of the Game, I was off projecting his huge stat line, but I also was not expecting the Ravens to have to come from behind the way they did. Either way at the end of the day a win is a win, and I will gladly take it. With that we are on to week 6!

What to Watch For

In tonight’s game, I will be watching for more than a couple different things so let’s jump right in. The Titans defense has been awful to start the season and I am very curious to see how long they are able to keep pace with the Bills and how effective Derrick Henry becomes if they get down by multiple scores. The other main thing I will be watching for with the Titans is how well their star receivers, Julio Jones and A.J. Brown, produce after coming back from injury. On the other side of the ball, I will be keeping a close eye on two things with the first being how the Bills utilize their running backs. Zack Moss has been the better back by a lot this season in my opinion and I feel the Bills should give him a bigger workload moving forward. The last thing I will be watching for from the Bills is to see if they are able to get Stefon Diggs back to his 2020 form. In 2020, Diggs was one of, if not the most dominant receiver in all of football and many were expecting the same coming into this season. The good news for Bills’ fans is that it has not translated to a dip in production for Josh Allen. As a side note, I am expecting this to be the game where Josh Allen plants his name firmly back into the MVP conversation. I am sure my buddy Eli (@eli_pad1224) will be very pleased after reading the previous sentence, especially if it happens to come true!

Jay’s Dynasty Owner Games of the Week

Each week I will pick two games that are close in score and will likely be decided during Monday Night Football. If you happen to find yourself in this situation on Sunday night, please get ahold of me on Twitter (@jaypoundsnfl) and I will gladly feature your game here.

Game 1 – League #27447

Cincinnati Sizzlers – Zack Moss on Bench left to play

The Cincinnati Sizzlers have got to be worrying heading into Monday night with Josh Allen yet to play on the opposite side. Cincinnati Sizzlers does still have a solid chance at winning this matchup and is projected to come out on top heading into Monday night’s matchup. Cincinnati Sizzlers will have to hope for a solid game from Bills’ running back Zack Moss to have a shot in this matchup and I ultimately do not think he will do enough so they can come away with a win this week.

SKOL Vikings – Josh Allen and Tyler Bass in Starting lineup left to play

SKOL Vikings needs a small Monday night miracle to pull off the upset in their matchup in League #27447. In case you were wondering, this is not either of the SKOL Vikings teams in the Top 25 of the Chase for the Ring. SKOL Vikings still have their star quarterback Josh Allen yet to play and he should be good for plenty of points up against the Titans very questionable defense. I see Josh Allen scoring well over his projected total and an easy win for SKOL Vikings as well.

Game 2 – League #27451

Somerset KAos – Ryan Tannehill and Randy Bullock on Bench left to play

Somerset KAos comes into Monday night facing a 5.5-point deficit and only has players remaining left to play on his Bench, but luckily one is a quarterback who should be in a shootout. Ryan Tannehill has not had the season that most were expecting from him this far and while I don’t see him leading his NFL team to victory Monday night, I see both quarterbacks scoring high points. The addition of Randy Bullock yet to play on the bench with Tannehill is just enough to get the job done for Somerset KAos.

Han and the Solos – Gabriel Davis on Bench left to play

In our last spot for the Games of the Week, we have Han and the Solos. I could be wrong, but I think they may be a Star Wars fan. The super Star Wars fan is probably not feeling the best with his only player left being Gabriel Davis on his Bench. I can’t tell you how sad it makes me typing that last sentence as I had high hopes for Davis this year. As you may already know Davis has not taken a big step forward and I don’t think he will see enough work to pull this week’s matchup out for Han and the Solos. They may need Yoda for this one.

Value of the Game

As I mentioned earlier in the article, I was able to nail my Value of the Game last week and I am hoping for more of the same this week. I have liked the prospect of Dawson Knox since he started receiving playing time for the Bills in 2019 and roster him on a few of my own dynasty teams. In 2020, I really started to worry about the long-term viability of Knox as he seemed to regress in a bad way finishing with 100 yards less than he did in his rookie campaign. In 2021, Knox has bounced back in a big way, and I am expecting more of that to continue against the sketchy Titans defense in tonight’s game.
