Week 7 Recap: Dynamic Duos

This content has been archived. It may no longer be relevant

By Steven Van Tassell (@SteveVT33)

The list of dynamic duos is long. The original Dynamic Duo was Batman and Robin, but we’ve had plenty of others come along recently. From TV, Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street come to mind, as do Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets. In movies, we have Thelma and Louise, Woody and Buzz, Bonnie and Clyde, and Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield. Two of the best food dynamic duos have to be macaroni and cheese, along with iced tea and lemonade (aka an Arnold Palmer). Others might be partial to peanut butter and jelly as kind of an iconic dynamic food duo, but I like mac and cheese with an Arnold Palmer to drink.

There are plenty of dynamic duos in sports as well. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls certainly qualify as they won six NBA championships together. Sorry Aaron Rodgers, but you and Davante Adams aren’t Jordan and Pippen as you’ve appeared in exactly the same number of Super Bowls together (zero) as the Dynasty Owner livestream dynamic duo of and me and Tim Peffer.

While Rodgers and Adams aren’t a dynamic duo because they have been together for eight seasons and never made a Super Bowl appearance, there are definitely some NFL dynamic duos out there. The G.O.A.T. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have won the Super Bowl together three times (Super Bowls XLIX and LIII with New England and Super Bowl LV with Tampa Bay). I’m not even counting Super Bowl LI because Gronk was on Injured Reserve and didn’t play in the game. In the past, we had Joe Montana and Dwight Clark who won two Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers. Montana also won two more with Jerry Rice later on in his career and Montana to Rice may be a better duo than Montana to Clark.

This year, we may have seen the emergence of two new NFL dynamic duos in Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase for Cincinnati and Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp for the Los Angeles Rams. Since both of these duos are in their first year together in the NFL, they can’t be criticized for not making it to any Super Bowls yet. Both duos have been getting the job done all season and had tremendous performances in Week 7 as they were the four top scorers in Dynasty Owner for the week. Burrow may only be the QB8 right now in Dynasty Owner, but he’s the only QB to throw multiple TD passes in every game so far in 2021. Ja’Marr Chase has 754 receiving yards in his first seven NFL games, which is a record number of receiving yards for a rookie. He is the WR2 in Dynasty Owner as well with 151.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. The only WR ahead of Chase is Cooper Kupp who has scored 190.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points with four games of more than 30.0 points. Veteran QB Matthew Stafford is in his first year with Kupp and the Rams and just edged in front of Kyler Murray as the QB2 in Dynasty Owner for the 2021 season with 217.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (an average of 31.1 points per game).

The winner of our Match-up of the Week has a dynamic duo that led them to victory, while their opponent had two of their top players sit out Week 7 due to injuries. With all of the teams on bye, they had just too many players out to win. Neither team moved into the Top 10 of the Chase for the Ring, as only one team from Week 6 dropped out.

Does your Dynasty Owner team have a dynamic duo and if so, who are they? Do you disagree with me and think Rodgers and Adams qualify as a dynamic duo even without a Super Bowl appearance? Let me know by sending me a message on Twitter (@SteveVT33). Also feel free to mention a dynamic duo that I missed or suggest your team as one to feature in the Week 8 Match-up of the Week.

All stats cited are based on the Standard Dynasty Owner scoring system as outlined in the updated Dynasty Owner Constitution. Standard Dynasty Owner scoring gives you .1 points for every yard rushing or receiving, .1 point for every 2 yards passing, 1 point per reception, 6 points for a rushing, receiving or passing touchdown and 2 points for a successful 2-point conversion (rushing, receiving, or passing). Interceptions or fumbles lost cost you 3 points, while a fumble that is recovered by the player’s team is a loss of only 1 point. Bonus points are available for 100-199 yards rushing (2 points), 200 yards rushing or receiving (6 points), 300-399 yards passing (1 point) and 400 yards passing (4 points). There is also a 3 point bonus for clutch scoring, which is a score that results in a lead change in the final two minutes of the 4th quarter or overtime. Kickoff and punt return touchdowns are worth 6 points for the player and kickoff and punt returns are worth 1 point for every 40 yards.

Standard Dynasty Owner scoring for kickers gives you 1 point for every extra point, while a missed extra point will cost you 1 point. It’s 2 points for a field goal of between 0 and 39 yards, 4 points for a field goal between 40 and 49 yards and 5 points for a field goal of 50 yards or longer. A missed field goal of between 0 and 39 yards will cost you 3 points, while a miss of 40 yards or more is a loss of 2 points.

For the purposes of this article, ADP and Dynasty Owner rostered percentage statistics were current as of the morning of October 26th.

Dynasty Owner Player of the Week

Our seventh Dynasty Owner Player of the Week for 2021 is actually not a single player, but the Cincinnati Bengals dynamic duo of: Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase

We split the Dynasty Owner Player of the Week honor this week for the second time in history. Back just over two years ago in Week 5 of 2019, the Dynasty Owner Player of the Week honor was split by a dynamic QB-WR duo (Deshaun Watson and Will Fuller of the Houston Texans). Hopefully, things are brighter in two years for Burrow and Chase than they are right now for Watson and Fuller. Burrow and Chase made history before as they won a National Championship at LSU and are now paired up together in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals. Both of them had their best game of the season in Week 7 as Burrow had a career high 416 yards passing and scored 39.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (416 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 1 INT), while Chase had the first 200 yard receiving game of his career and scored 39.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (8 receptions, 201 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD, 1 fumble). It’s supposed to be Player of the Week (singular), but because of their LSU and Cincinnati connection, it was impossible to separate them, so the duo become the second pair of teammates to share the honor and the first to do so this season. Burrow has the higher salary ($9.05 million) and scored more points, so his stats are listed first.

Week 7 Points: 39.8

2021 Salary: $9,047,534

Cost per Point: $227,325

Ja’Marr Chase is on his rookie contract and his $7.55 million salary is looking like a great value more and more every week. Because he makes about $1.5 million less than Burrow and had almost as many points (only 0.7 less), Chase was a better value this week.

Week 7 Points: 39.1

2021 Salary: $7,547,410

Cost per Point: $193,028

Congratulations to both Joe and Ja’Marr on winning the first Dynasty Owner Player of the Week honor of your respective careers.

Honorable mentions to the Los Angeles Rams dynamic duo of Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. Stafford and Kupp were very close to bringing the Player of the Week award to Los Angeles as Kupp had 37.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (10 receptions, 156 receiving yards, 2 receiving TDs) to continue his fantastic season with Stafford who had 37.5 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (334 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, -2 rushing yards, 1 2-pt conversion). These were a couple of great performances by the Rams duo in their 28-19 victory over the Lions, but not quite good enough to win this week. Maybe they can have another great week and split the award so both of them can win it for the first time.

Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week

Because this is Dynasty Owner and we’re all looking for value from the players on our roster, we also have the Value Player of the Week. The seventh Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week for the 2021 season is: D’Ernest Johnson

For the second week in a row, we have a player on the Cleveland Browns as the winner of this award. Last week, it was Donovan Peoples-Jones who stepped up with Nick Chubb and Jarvis Landry out. Kareem Hunt also got injured during the game last week. This week with the RB duo of Chubb and Hunt ruled out for the Browns’ Thursday night game against the Broncos, one of the Browns young RBs was going to need to do the same. The RB ended up being D’Ernest Johnson who scored almost as many points in this week’s game than he did in the entire 2020 season (29.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) and more than he did in his rookie season in 2019 (18.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Johnson had 26.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (146 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 2 receptions, 22 receiving yards) in the game on Thursday and nobody came close to matching his performance in the remaining Week 7 games. It would have taken an amazing week to be a better value than Johnson because of his extremely low $585,000 salary. His cost per point of $21,828 was the second best of the season, only trailing Myles Gaskin’s $20,429 cost per point (31.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points for $651,694 in salary) back in Week 5. Johnson is currently being rostered in 85.8% of Dynasty Owner leagues up from 33.1% last week. Hopefully everybody who bid on Johnson’s services in the Free Agent Auction and won then promptly inserted him into their Starting lineup and got the full benefit of his award winning performance.

Week 7 Points: 26.8

2021 Salary: $585,000

Cost per Point: $21,828

Congratulations D’Ernest on winning the first Dynasty Owner Value Player of the Week honor of your career and being the second Cleveland Browns player to win the award in a row.

Players Who Should Have Been Starters This Week

Next, we look at those players who should have been one of your Starters based on their performance in Week 7. We aren’t going to write that you should have started Cooper Kupp because if you have him, you shouldn’t be taking him out of your lineup until his bye week (Week 11). Instead, these are players who might normally be on your Bench or Practice Squad (or even not on many Dynasty Owner rosters), but likely weren’t Starters in Week 7 when they should have been.

QB: Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) – 35.4 points

His 2021 ADP of 75.1 made Tua Tagovailoa the 12th QB drafted, on average, in Dynasty Owner leagues. However, he did miss three full weeks (Weeks 3-5) plus most of Week 2 with fractured ribs and was the subject of plenty of trade rumors and speculation during the week prior to the Dolphins’ game on Sunday against Atlanta. The rumors plus the injury combined with the travel back playing in London last week could have made his Dynasty Owners think that they should start another QB this week. That would have been a bad decision as Tua put up his first 4 TD game as a professional and a career best 35.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (291 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, 29 rushing yards, 2 INTs). Not sure if it was good enough to stop the Dolphins from trading him away for Deshaun Watson, but it was plenty good enough to be in your Dynasty Owner Starting lineup.

RB: Brandon Bolden (NE) – 19.9 points

One week after seeing Rhamondre Stevenson seemingly move ahead of Brandon Bolden in the always changing New England Patriots RB depth chart, Bolden moved right back into the second spot behind Damien Harris with a 19.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy point effort (6 receptions, 79 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD). Last week, Stevenson was on the field for more snaps than Bolden (18 vs. 11) and scored his first NFL TD and had 15.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (23 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 3 receptions, 39 receiving yards). This week, Stevenson was a healthy scratch on Sunday morning and hopefully on your Practice Squad before the early Sunday games started. In his place, Bolden was on the field for 21 snaps and had his first TD of the season in the Patriots 54-13 demolition of the New York Jets. Good luck figuring out which New England RB to use on a weekly basis, besides Damien Harris, if you have either Bolden or Stevenson on your Dynasty Owner roster. This week, it was Bolden’s turn, his did his job, and should have been in your Starting lineup.

Honorable mention to J.J. Taylor, yet another New England RB who should have been in your Starting lineup. Taylor got two late garbage time 1-yard TD runs and ended up scoring 15.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (21 rushing yards, 2 rushing TDs, 1 reception, 5 receiving yards). Taylor only scored a total of 16.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (110 rushing yards, 1 reception, 4 receiving yards, 98 return yards) in the entire 2020 season and had just 0.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (5 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 3 receiving yards, 1 fumble – lost) up to this point of the 2021 season. Taylor is on the roster in almost three-quarters (72.8%) of Dynasty Owner leagues due to his $695,000 salary, not because his Dynasty Owners were expecting him to be a Top 20 RB in Week 7. Taylor was one of three New England RBs, along with Bolden and Damien Harris who had 27.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points, who should have been in your Week 7 Starting lineup.

WR: Allen Lazard (GB) – 17.0 points

Allen Lazard would have been the answer to the question “Who is the WR1 for Green Bay with Davante Adams on the reserve/COVID-19 list?”, if he hadn’t gone on the list himself on Tuesday afternoon. With the Packers playing on Thursday night this week, both of them will be out for Week 8. In the past two games, Lazard had produced almost as many Dynasty Owner fantasy points (11.7 points in Week 6 and 17.0 points in Week 7) as Adams (12.9 points in Week 6 and 19.6 points in Week 7). However, prior to Week 6, Lazard had only 16.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in the first five games of the season, after a solid 2020 season in which he averaged 10.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game in ten games played. In Week 7, Lazard scored a TD for the second consecutive week and had 17.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (5 receptions, 60 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD). He would certainly have been in your Dynasty Owner Starting lineup in Week 8 with Adams out (prior to his positive test) and should have been in there as well in Week 7.

TE: C.J. Uzomah (CIN) – 24.1 points

The streak lives on! This is the fourth week in a row that a TE who makes over $6 million per season is in this spot. C.J. Uzomah and his $6.1 million salary return for their second appearance after starting the streak back in Week 4. Uzomah had gone up to being owned in 0.6% of Dynasty Owner leagues in Week 4 up to 13% after his 26.5 Dynasty Owner fantasy point performance. He followed that 2-TD performance with only 3.6 points in Week 5 and 10.5 points in Week 6, so the growth in his roster percentage slowed down and he’s only currently rostered in 18.3% of Dynasty Owner leagues. He should have been picked up in more leagues with three of the Top 12 TEs out for Week 7 on bye (Dawson Knox, Dalton Schultz, and Jared Cook) plus TE14 Tyler Conklin on bye and Rob Gronkowski still out injured. Dynasty Owners could have used Uzomah in their Starting lineups this week as he had his second 2-TD performance of the 2021 season and scored 24.1 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (3 receptions, 91 receiving yards, 2 receiving TDs) in Week 7. Uzomah just edged out Kyle Pitts (23.3 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) as the TE1 for the week.

K: Austin Seibert (DET) – 13.0 points

As the Lions kicker for four games so far this season, Austin Seibert hasn’t gotten a lot of scoring opportunities. He had attempted seven FGs and just four PATs, making six of the FGs and all four PATs for a total of 23.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (5.75 points per game). He also missed two games and his replacement (Ryan Santoso) for those games only had 1 FG attempt and four PATs for a total of 9.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Not a lot of points being scored by the Detroit kickers, so if Dynasty Owners with Seibert on their roster (89.9% of leagues) put him on their Bench if they had two kickers this week, they probably thought that they were making the correct decision. It wasn’t as Seibert ended up scoring 13.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (FGs of 31, 37, 41 and 47 yards plus one PAT) in the Lions 28-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Seibert should have been a Starter at kicker.

Players Who Should Have Been on the Bench or Practice Squad

For every player who should have been in your Starting lineup but wasn’t, we have at least one highly drafted or highly ranked player who probably was in your Starting lineup, but would have been better left on your Bench or Practice Squad. Here are some likely Starters who only scored only a few Dynasty Owner fantasy points this week. All of them should have been riding your Dynasty Owner Bench or hanging out on the Practice Squad with the guys from the six teams who were on bye in Week 7.

QB: Patrick Mahomes (KC) – 6.8 points

When the player with the highest salary in the NFL scores less than double-digit Dynasty Owner fantasy points for the first time, it’s a problem for his Dynasty Owners. As a result, Mahomes was the only QB under consideration for this spot. Even with his $45 million salary, he was still the sixth QB off the board in 2021 Dynasty Owner start-up drafts (ADP 37.1) and the only QB with a salary over $10 million with an ADP of under 100. If you have Mahomes on your Dynasty Owner roster, you pretty much have to play him week in and week out as your ability to build a quality team around him and have another good QB on your roster is extremely limited. Mahomes’ salary takes up 35% of the Dynasty Owner salary cap of $127.75 million and through the first six weeks of the season, he was earning it by scoring 201.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (average of 34.7 points per game). That made him the second highest scorer, only behind the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady who had scored 210.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Mahomes is down to QB5 for the 2021 season after his 6.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy point performance in Week 7 (206 passing yards, 35 rushing yards, 1 INT, 2 fumbles – 1 lost). Few to no Dynasty Owners could have possible done the right thing and left Mahomes on their Bench, or Practice Squad, this week.

RB: Mike Davis (ATL) – 1.0 point

All of the Mike Davis haters can finally rejoice! They were correct about him and how awful he was going to be this fantasy football season. It took them until Week 7, but Davis finally put up a completely terrible performance with just 1.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy point (10 rushing yards). With only 4 touches in Week 7, It was the first game in which Davis touched the ball less than 15 times all season. With only 4 touches, he scored less than 10.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points for the first time all season. Up to this point, Davis had been outscored by fellow Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson, but he had still put up respectable showings every week and was averaging 11.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game. No single game was great as Davis had a high of 13.3 points, but his low was 10.2 points. It ended for Davis and his Dynasty Owners in Week 7 as he finally put up a performance worthy of a spot on your Dynasty Owner Bench or better yet, the Practice Squad if you had enough RBs playing to leave him there.

WR: Tyler Lockett (SEA) – 3.2 points and Allen Robinson (CHI) – 3.6 points

Both members of this WR duo finished the 2020 Dynasty Owner season in the Top 10 WRs (Lockett was WR8 and Robinson was WR9), but have seen their production take a sharp nosedive this season due to QB issues. Robinson had suffered through plenty of bad QBs during his NFL career, but even he hasn’t been able to overcome the rancid play calling by Head Coach Matt Nagy for the Bears QB duo of Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. As a result, Robinson has only 1 TD for the season and just one game with double-digit Dynasty Owner fantasy points (10.4 points in Week 2). He hit a new low in Week 7 with just 3.6 points (2 receptions for 16 receiving yards). Lockett hasn’t done much since the first two games of the season and this has reached a low point with Geno Smith at QB as he scored just 5.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points last week. He’s gone down further by scoring just 3.2 points (2 receptions for 12 receiving yards) in Week 7. Both of them are making more than $10 million in salary, but are only tied to those salaries for the rest of the season. It’s been a terrible fall in 2021 for both of these WRs who should have been sitting on your Dynasty Owner Bench for most of the season and definitely in Week 7.

TE: Mark Andrews (BAL) – 6.8 points

Mark Andrews is still the TE2 for the season, but he fell further behind Travis Kelce in his quest to be the TE1. After the first six weeks of the season, Andrews was only 3.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points behind Kelce, but he fell further behind after a 6.8 Dynasty Owner fantasy point performance (3 receptions, 48 receiving yards, 1 fumble) in Week 7. Despite the poor game by Patrick Mahomes, Kelce still had his sixth weekly double-digit Dynasty Owner fantasy point game in Week 7 with 13.5 points. Andrews had one great week (44.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 5 versus Indianapolis) and four good weeks in which he averaged 14.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in between his two poor performances from Week 1 (5.0 points) and this past week. Andrews was in your Week 7 Starting lineup based on his status as the TE2. He will likely still be the TE2 for the season and in your Starting lineup again after his Week 8 bye, but he should have been on your Bench in Week 7.

K: Jason Sanders (MIA) and Harrison Butker (KC) – 2.0 points

For the kicker who should have been on your Bench, we have a duo who both were among the first five kickers drafted in 2021 start-up drafts based on ADP. Jason Sanders was second at ADP 161.9, likely due to his $637,800 salary, while Harrison Butker was fifth at ADP 174.8, likely due to the fact that he kicks for the Kansas City Chiefs. For Butker, it’s not because Dynasty Owners really want to pay him $4.055 million in salary for the next four years to score 2.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (made 42-yard FG and missed 57-yard FG) like he did in Week 7. Butker hasn’t been great this season before that as he was only averaging 7.2 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game and had yet to score more than 9.0 points in a single game. Sanders has been even worse and only was averaging 5.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game before his 2.0 point outing in Week 7 (4 PATs and a missed 49-yard FG). Sanders has had at least one very good game (12.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points in Week 3), but also had a Blutarsky (0.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) the week before. While neither Butker nor Sanders were ranked in the Top 12 kickers for this week, Dynasty Owners drafted them to be their Starting kicker. Hopefully they left them on the Bench in Week 7.

Dishonorable mention to Matt Ammendola of the New York Jets. Dynasty Owners would have been better off leaving their Starting or Bench kicker spot open than have Ammendola in there this week as he managed to score -1.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points (1 PAT and a missed 48 yard FG). Unless your Dynasty Owner team only had one kicker available in Week 7, you probably weren’t putting Ammendola in your Starting lineup as he had only scored 17.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points through the first five weeks of the season (3.4 points per game). He has had two weeks already with a Blutarsky (0.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) because he had zero kicking attempts. His Dynasty Owners would have preferred that he didn’t have any attempts this week as it would have been better for them.

Dynasty Owner Match-up of the Week Recap – TPC Murder Hornets vs. Wheelwoody

Wheelwoody has a dynamic duo on their roster, but not one of the pairs mentioned earlier. Instead, they have half of each of those duos with Matthew Stafford and Ja’Marr Chase on their team. The Wheelwoody dynamic duo scored a combined 76.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points to lead them to an easy victory over the TPC Murder Hornets. The rest of Wheelwoody’s lineup was pretty good too as nobody in it had less than 12.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. Five out of their seven Bench players also had more than 10.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points with only their Bench RB tandem of late scratch Rhamondre Stevenson and Mark Ingram (5.7 Dynasty Owner fantasy points) falling to reach double-digit points.

TPC Murder Hornets had 33.9 Dynasty Owner fantasy points on Monday night from Alvin Kamara and 15.5 points from Geno Smith as their Bench QB, but the match-up was long past over. There were several players who didn’t live up to expectations for the TPC Murder Hornets including Darrell Henderson (9.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points), but decisions by NFL teams to sit out a high scoring duo of players in the TPC Murder Hornets’ original Starting lineup (Antonio Brown and Darren Waller) cost them as well. Their Starting lineup replacement duo of Rondale Moore and Darrel Williams only combined for 12.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points.

The defeat ends the TPC Murder Hornets undefeated season, but they are still on top of the League #27466 standings with a 6-1 record, but dropped back into 133rd place in the Chase for the Ring standings. Wheelwoody remains in third place at 5-2, but has moved up into 54th place in the Chase for the Ring standings and are only 29.5 points out of the Top 25. Another week like this one for Wheelwoody and they might find their way on to the Leaderboard.

Chase for the Ring Leaderboard

Neither TPC Murder Hornets nor Wheelwoody appear in the Top 10 in the Chase for the Ring standings as nine of the Top 10 from last week held on to their spots for another week.

For the second straight week, there was only one new team to the Top 10. This week, it was John Boy’s Bolts who are now in 10th place and swapped places with Joeyjet53 who is now in 12th place. There was a bit of shuffling in the Top 10 but The Road Warriors are still on top and have expanded their lead to 38.0 Dynasty Owner fantasy points. At the halfway point in the regular season, they have to be considered the favorite to win the Ring. SKOL Vikings continue to have a duo of Top 10 teams with the team in League #31927 in 2nd place and the team in League #31831 in 6th place. None of the other teams moved up or down more than two spots from their position last week.

Conclusions

The top scoring dynamic duo so far in Dynasty Owner this season are Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. They are averaging a combined 58.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game. That’s 5.0 points more per game than the second highest scoring duo of Tom Brady and Mike Evans who average 53.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game.

My top dynamic duo has definitely been Kyler Murray and Christian Kirk on my 6-1 team in the Writer’s League (League #80545), but they are significantly behind and averaging 44.6 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game so far. At the beginning of the 2021 season, I would have predicted my top duo would be the Justin Herbert-Keenan Allen duo that I drafted in the league with Team Polian, but that duo has been slightly less productive and averages 44.4 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game. Neither one is close to being the top Dynasty Owner duo though.

Speaking of dynamic duos, we have one of those with the other Dynasty Owner writers of Jay Pounds and Matt Morrison – The Jerk.  Both of them are producing plenty of great Dynasty Owner content for you to check out. Jay does the Monday Night Football preview on Monday afternoons and has his Free Agent Auction targets article and video on Tuesdays. Everyone can get Matt’s insights on Wednesdays with an article and video on a topic of his choice and then again on Thursday afternoons with his Thursday Night Football preview for Week 8. I’ll be back with an article and video on Friday previewing the rest of the Week 8 slate of games. Check it out to see how my Week 7 recommendations fared and what teams are featured in the Match-up of the Week.
