Welcome back to another week of Free Agent Auction targets with Dynasty Owner! As I have mentioned over the past few weeks, the free agent market will be drying up soon. Well, the time has come. Of course, there will still be Bench production left in the Free Agent Auction after this week, but I don’t see it as being plug and play Starter level help. If you are going to need future starters or need help now, this is probably your last chance at that.

Before we jump right into the free agents run through Jay’s Week 9 takeaways. The Browns played a fantastic game while molly whopping the Bengals, but I am still nowhere near sold on Baker Mayfield. The NFL has several quarterbacks that can win football games when they have a good defense and run game like the Browns. The Cowboys came out and laid an egg, but I will give them a pass with Prescott coming off an injury. The Saints went with Trevor Siemian at QB, and it likely cost them a win. Hopefully Sean Payton comes to his senses and starts Taysom Hill this week. The Raiders played one of their worst games all season, but it was honestly expected after all this team has been through over the past few weeks. The Chargers pulled off a victory over the Eagles, but I am losing faith in them as a true Super Bowl contender. The Hoodie continued to show off his all-time great coaching skills in a dominant win over the Panthers and has his Patriots over .500 with a rookie at the quarterback position the entire season. In the most surprising game of the day, the Jaguars beat the Bills proving that anything can happen in the NFL. The Titans continued their dominance against good teams after handily beating the red-hot Rams. Finally, we have the talk of the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs just barely squeaking by a Jordan Love-led Packers team. I am not too sure what has happened to Patrick Mahomes, but I am officially starting to worry!

Alright Dynasty Owners, we are back with another week of trying to find a diamond in the rough with the Free Agent Auction targets. The free agent articles/videos will be dropping every Tuesday afternoon in advance of when bids process on Wednesday at 5 AM and will consist of the week’s Top 5 free agent adds. I will do my best to keep the players listed at an ownership percentage of 65% or less and make sure all players have contracts of $8,000,000 or less, with most players coming in at under $4,000,000. One last note, in Dynasty Owner you will be credited each week with 25% of your entire Bench’s score making these weekly free agent pick-ups extremely important to help boost your total weekly score.

On to the top targets for Week 10:

  1. Jordan Howard (QB – PHI) 1 year/$990,000 – 56.8% Rostered

The fact that Jordan Howard is headlining this list of players kind of scares me to be honest. In fact, you may need to go take an IQ test after reading this far. All jokes aside, Howard had a fantastic Week 9 against a Chargers defense who has Joey Bosa starring on the line. If you look back just another week, Howard’s total stat line reads 29 carries, 128 yards, and 3 touchdowns. I don’t know about you, but I will gladly take that type of production in my lineup if one of my running backs happen to be hurt. The NFL never fails to amaze me as Jordan Howard looked like he was well past retirement in Miami last season. The biggest downside when picking up Howard is the fact that he has a tough matchup against the Broncos this week.

2. Odell Beckham Jr. (WR – FA) Unknown Contract – 63.3% Rostered

If you had to pick your jaw up off the floor after reading the first name, you probably just fell out with a massive stroke before you even hit this point. I am kidding of course but I do feel there may end up being significant upside in a few weeks by picking up Beckham now. However, there will also be some strategy involved when picking him up. If you were to pick up Beckham now, he will be an $18,000,000 cap hit for a few days but if you wait, he will be significantly cheaper against the cap, though he will likely cost you more in Dynasty Dollars as a bid because of the hype surrounding the new team he chooses. I also see this as a great opportunity for any of you rebuilding owners to snag an extra draft pick. Let me explain, if you are rebuilding you should have good cap space meaning you can afford to pick OBJ up at his current salary and when he becomes cheaper and more hyped, you move him for whatever draft capital you can get for him.

3. D’Onta Foreman (RB – TEN) 1 year/$920,000 – 8.3% Rostered

I am sure this is not an exciting pick for anyone, but Foreman played 21 percent of the snaps on Sunday against a tough Rams team. In last week’s article, I touted Adrian Peterson as the running back to grab for the Titans and while he still may be, Foreman looked like the better running back. Peterson did find the end zone late in the game but if he continues at an inefficient rate, we could see Forman get a chance to put on his best Derrick Henry impression for the foreseeable future. Running backs are scarce and this is the type of player who you will have to take a chance on to find production this late in a Dynasty Owner season.

4. Danny Amendola (WR – HOU) 1 year/$1,800,000 – 3.0% Rostered

I know this is probably a very surprising selection to many, but I promise there is logic behind it. Danny Amendola had the second most targets in Week 9 on the Texans, but he also is the second most targeted wide receiver on the team when Tyrod Taylor plays this season. The targets this week didn’t amount to a whole lot (3 catches for 49 yards), but as we say in the fantasy football community “opportunity is everything”. If the Taylor to Amendola connection happens to get on track over the next week or two, Amendola could earn the nickname Baby Beasley fast!

5. DeSean Jackson (WR – LV) Unknown Contract – 9.5% Rostered

I know I know; this has got to be the weirdest list I have ever put together, but I honestly feel it offers more upside than the typical 8-10 Dynasty Owner fantasy points per game players who are usually offered. DeSean Jackson will step into the Henry Ruggs role in the Raiders’ offense and as we had seen with Ruggs, there is production to be had if you are fast in Las Vegas. Bryan Edwards has been nothing short of a bust since steeping on to a NFL field and the Raiders will be looking for receiver help in any way; they can get it. If Jackson can get on the same page with Derek Carr quickly, he could have week winning upside before the Dynasty Owner playoffs hit.
